Transfer B2Brouter account ownership
If you need to access an account or company that already exists in B2Brouter, you should not request a change to the account tax ID. In this case you must request an ownership transfer.
Difference from changing the tax ID
Section titled “Difference from changing the tax ID”An ownership transfer is used to recover or request access to a company that is already linked to another user.
If what you need is to modify the tax identifier of your current account, see the guide How to change the account ID number.
When you need to request an ownership transfer
Section titled “When you need to request an ownership transfer”You should follow this process when:
- You have registered with a new email address.
- You are creating your company in B2Brouter.
- The system detects that the tax ID already exists and tells you that the identifier is already associated with another account.
If you are the owner and want to transfer the account
Section titled “If you are the owner and want to transfer the account”If you are the current owner and you can access the account, you do not need the process on this page. You can transfer ownership directly to another user of the account:
- If the person is not a user of the account yet, add them first with the Add user option.
- In the account settings, go to the Users section and open the user you want to transfer the account to.
- Click Transfer ownership and confirm the request.
You also find Transfer ownership in the three-dot menu of the account, in the list of accounts. From there, you first choose the user.
The user receives an email and must accept the transfer. Until they accept it, nothing changes. In the meantime, the same menu shows the status of the transfer, where you can resend or delete the request.
When the user accepts, you are no longer the owner, but you remain a user of the account.
